I want you to feel as gorgeous as you are on your maternity photography day and as a mom who’s been pregnant twice I know how hard it can be to find baby bump-friendly gowns that fit and flatter in just the right way. That’s why my clients have free use of my client closet for their maternity photography session.

How it works:

  1. Book your maternity photography session (I recommend booking your maternity session so it lands after your 30th week of pregnancy).
  2. Tell me which maternity gowns are your favorites!
  3. When we’re within two weeks of your session I’ll wash, steam, and arrange a time for you to try the gowns on and make your final selections.
  4. During the week of your maternity photos, I’ll have your gown(s) in a garment bag and ready to either be picked up or I’m happy to drop them off if you’re within Iowa City/Coralville/North Liberty city-limits.

Maternity Client Closet FAQ:

Q: How many gowns can I select for my maternity session?

A: You can use up to two maternity gowns during your session. Something to keep in mind though: if you choose to have your photography session somewhere away from home, then doing a wardrobe change midway through your session might be a challenge.

Q: Your maternity dresses are beautiful but I have a special-to-me outfit already picked out, can I use that instead?

A: Absolutely! This is your maternity session, if you have something in mind then I’m here to help make it happen!

Q: Will I be able to pick the dress up before my session so I can be dressed and ready to go on the day-of?

A: Yes, I will have your gown washed, steamed, and in a garment bag ready for you to pick up the week of your maternity session. These gowns were a major investment for my small business so I do require a $100 deposit per gown checked out. Once the gowns are returned to me without irreparable stains or damage, I reimburse your full deposit to you by crediting it towards your remaining session invoice balance.

Q: Do I need to wash the dress before returning it to you?

A: No, I wash and steam every gown between every use so I actually ask that you please do not wash the gown before returning it to me (it would be extra work for you and unnecessary wear on the gowns).

Q: What happens if I lose or damage one of the maternity gowns?

A: I thankfully haven’t had this happen yet but accidents happen so I know it’s probably just a matter of time. If the gown is damaged, please return it to me and I’ll have a seamstress look it over. Most repairs can be done quite affordably. If the gown is lost, damaged beyond repair, or if the damage costs more to repair than what the gown itself is worth, then I’ll have to keep the deposit to help offset ordering a replacement.
